How does it know who I know?
Seriously, LinkedIn has this has this function where it says, Hey, you might know these people! And I almost always do.
Yeah, they're friends of friends, but out of all the friends that a friend of mine has, how does LinkedIn pick my ex-boyfriends, some guy I dated, a graphic artist I met at a gallery opening, and the one colleague from a huge past company that I actually do know? Seriously, they've got some kickin' smart technology going on over there.
Freaky.

You're absolutely right! It's suggested that I might know some of my dad's colleagues (and I do, but how does it know?). It's also matched me up with people that I worked with on consulting jobs that I never mentioned on my LinkedIn profile. Freaky.

Many months went by before I started to use Linkin, even though I kept getting invitations from other users. I finally did, and it is powerful, and scary. I am not sure I like having my people exposed out there in world.

That's how I feel about Facebook! (Still haven't jumped on Facebook - How many online profiles do I need?)

hmmm.....
Apparently, I don't know anyone, heh. I have about 6 links and it never seems to suggest any more for me.
