Scot

Thanks for the eHarmony summary.
It sounds less complicated now!
:)

(and good luck with the eHarmony matches!)

Laura

My good friend in Arizona prefers OKCupid to eHarmony, so you might give that one a try too. She says the guys are more down-to-earth.

Carmen

eHarmony... e-sharmony. I paid for a three month membership in August (thank god it is almost up) and nothing... nada... not one interesting person. I have about 6 unanswered requests for communication and I have closed about 75% of my 'matches'.

I should have known when it matched me up with the freaky armhair guy I met from lavalife that it just wasn't going to work...

Back to the drawing board.

Denise

I like OKCupid, too. The tests are fun, it's free and I met my honey there!

Liz

Scot - Thanks! And yeah, it's really not as complicated or intimidating as you might think.

Laura - You know, I tried OKCupid, but I got bored of it after a while.

Carmen - Hm... Well, it is a bummer when you don't get a good match for you - I hear ya! But at the same time, you can't expect every match to be a winner. People are people, you know?

Denise - Another OKCupid endorsement! Hm... Peeps *are* always mentioning it...

Sarah

I write a weekly entertainment column for a SLC newspaper and my column this week was about eHarmony. I was so disappointed in the services that I'm decided to give up online dating altogether.

Liz

Sarah - Oh, no! You know, these things ebb and flow. You might find you come back to Internet dating after a bit and maybe get a match then. I mean, I'm not having any luck on eHarmony this go round, but I still really like the Interface.

Good luck!

Anita

I used to have e-Harmony -- "connected" with two guys. One who was just freaking odd after making it to open communication and then phone conversations -- and the other one I just returned from a trip to Texas with -- and well it wasn't the best vacation ever.

I don't know, I haven't given up online dating yet, but I probably have given up on spending the amount of money that I did for eHarmony.

Liz

Anita - Yeah, eHarmony can be a bit pricey, but I actually like that because I think it encourages less flakiness - which is pretty important in L.A. :)
