So last night I crawled home from work just in time to watch the premiere of Agents of Shield at 8pm. I poured myself a glass of wine and settled in. There's an explosion in the episode, and it startled me, causing me to send my wine flying across my newly cleaned carpet. Having just cleaned my carpet, I knew exactly where the spot cleaner was, so as I reached under my sink, my eyes were on my TV. I was watching TV the old fashioned way, so no pausing. As I quickly glanced back and forth from the carpet to the TV, marveling at the far reaching splatter of the wine, I was pleased to see the spots come right up. It wasn't until I walked into the kitchen later and noticed my Clorox bleach cleaner on the counter that I looked to the carpet and realized what I'd done. So now I've got newly cleaned carpets with multiple bleach stains right by my couch and in my main walkway. The only blessings are that my carpet is apartment beige, and it wasn't new when I moved in, so the stains aren't as striking as they would be on colored carpet, and it came with a few spots and lighter bleach stains to start with. It's kind of an awkward spot for a throw rug, but I guess I'll try. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: It's Engrossing.
