LA scheduling: You've got to make decisions.

In my world, exercise trumps and co-ed trumps. Also in play in this decision: a birthday, Los Angeles, and timing of invites. Winner: The 25-mile LA walkabout.

I try to minimize gender-specific events in my life and will usually turn them down unless there's a specific reason not to, particularly because I already go to a good friend's girls' night most months.That said, a clothes swap probably benefits from being gender-specific, since clothes are generally gender-specific. And, of course, I enjoy all my various friends and seeing some often means not seeing others. I am sorry to be missing it.

But, you've got to make decisions when you're navigating the world of LA scheduling.
